There I was, standing, waiting for my turn. Beeep! all of the year 6 girls sprinted off the start line. Then we lined up at the start line. I was really nervous, and my knees were shaking like a volcano erupting. 3, 2, 1, BEEEEP! Instantly, everybody sprinted off the start line! The muddy mud squelched between my toes as I ran as fast as I could across it. Other people were running past me so I ran as fast as I could, but it wasn't the best idea because I got exhausted so then heaps of people was overtaking me. Soon I got my breath back and I caught up I with all the fast people. I wasn't the fastest person, but I still didn't give up. I tried my best to get at least around the first lap. The foot path got really slippery, but all that did was make it more fun. I got around the first lap fine, but when we got to the field, my heart was beating as fast as a Lamborghini racing. As I quickly ran across the driveway, I saw the finish line. I started to sprint down the hill and around the corner to the court I saw Josh jog past the finish. At this point I was sweating as if I had been running three Hundred and thirty miles per hour for an hour. I was delighted to see the finishing shoot. I past the finish line! I was happy, exhausted and thirsty, very very thirsty.
